Yarcombe Jubilee Hall is situated in the centre of the village, on the eastern parameters of the East Devon District Council area near the Somerset Border. Within the picturesque Yarty Valley, on the Blackdown Hills, a national landscape, with easy access from the A30 and nearby A303. Located midway between the market towns of Chard and Honiton.

A beautiful 1930's building, the Hall has a light and spacious feel which helps to make it the ideal space to be enjoyed in a variety of ways and suitable to hold various occasions.

Car Park

The Hall is surrounded by its own spacious car park, in front and behind the Hall, providing plenty of off road parking. Including two allocated disabled parking spaces.

The Hall

The main entrance has a small porch, with double width access into the spacious entrance foyer (3m x 3m) which leads to the main Hall with a splendid suspended wooden floor (15.75m x 6.50 m ) with an additional area (2.95m x 5.80m) to one side.

Capacity

Our Premises Licence allows for a maximum of 190 people standing and has facilities to cater for approximately 100 seated for events dependant on layout and configuration of chairs and/or tables.

Alcohol

Iif you intend to sell alcohol it is the hirers responsibility to obtain a Temporary Events Notice (TEN). Apply on line at https://eastdevon.gov.uk/licensing

Kitchen

There is a spacious main kitchen (12m x 3m), with two access points from the main Hall and a serving hatch with additional external access to the rear car park, making it very practical for commercial/outside caterers. The kitchen is well equipped and has facilities to cater for many occasions and plenty of food preparation area. This includes a range cooker, two catering warming ovens, a commercial dish washer, fridge, freezer, microwave and water boiler. With the bonus of an additional service area also with a serving hatch, which can be used as a bar or for preparing and serving light refreshments. There is enough crockery, cutlery and glasses to cater for the allowed capacity which are included in the hiring charge.

WiFi

The Hall has access to free Gigaclear WiFi with speeds of 400Mbps. Connect to "Yarcombe Village Hall".

Audio Visual System

The Hall is equipped with a Panasonic 5000 Lumen Laser Full HD projector, which projects to an electronically operated three meter screen. A DVD/Blu-ray player is permanently connected with stereo sound for DVD and 5.1 Blu-ray. A laptop can be connected using the HDMI cable provided. Radio and cable microphones are available. Basic written instructions for operating the system are supplied. The Hall has a Motion Picture Licence Company (MPLC) which enables many films to be shown. We also have a PPL PRS Licence allowing music to be played.

Stage

A wooden portable stage comprising of sixteen individual sections, each section measures (1225mm x 1255mm x 610mm) which gives the flexibility to have multiple configurations and a stage to suit your requirements. These are easily moved on the storage trolleys and quick to assemble and dismantle with a practical and easy slot together system.

Please ensure you inform the booking clerk if you require a stage when booking. Assistance can be provided with enough notice.

Accessibility

The front entrance enables disabled access. The one level layout ensures easy access to all areas and facilities. Toilet facilities include a disabled toilet with additional baby changing facilities and electric hand driers.

The Hall has ample facilities including:

  • Over 100 chairs
  • 22 Folding Tables 1892mm x 761mm
  • 20 Square Tables 610mm x 610mm
  • Notice/ display boards also available.

The Hall is a registered Charity run by Yarcombe Jubilee Hall Management Committee.
